ANGELA SNÆLAND

Angela Árnadóttir Snæland was born in Iceland. Her family roots are traced through Hungary, Serbia and Denmark. Currently she resides in Germany.
  From the age of 6 she practiced Classical Ballet and Modern Dance in Iceland. 

 At the age of 18 she taught Modern Dance for teenagers at the Danceschool "Jón Pétur og Kara" in Reykjavík. 

At the same time she pursued studies in Fine Art, and earned a degree from the Art Department at FB in Iceland. She later earned a MA degree in fine Art and art studies from The University in Iceland - Háskóli Íslands.
Thereafter she studied opera singing at the Singing Conservatory in Reykjavík.  

In 2020 she seeked to further her studies in Fine Art at the Akademie für Malerei in Berlin, where she still continues to develop her work. 
  Her work has been exhibited in Wiesbaden, Berlin and Toulouse, and in 2021 there are planned exhibititions in Copenhagen, Århus, Stuttgart, and Paris.
  Snælands work illustrates the abstractism in figurative long "dancing" lines, whilst also venturing into the realm of the supernatural. She investigates the invisible reality searching within the higher consciousness. The goal being the search itself.
